Completed in 2001, this three-storey Marion McCain Building houses offices, classrooms and seminar rooms for the Arts Faculties at Dalhousie University. The two signature lecture theatres for the entire campus with 300 and 500 seat state-of-the-art rooms.  Auditoriums are served by dedicated supply air systems.  HVAC systems for Seminar Rooms and other areas include water source heat pumps.  These rooms are equipped with full web access at each seat and full lighting and sound control.  The building was built to its $18.86 million budget.

 

Electrical systems include energy efficient lighting, indirect lighting for seminar rooms, dimming controls for auditoriums, project systems, fire alarm, voice and data communication systems. 

 

Mechanical and electrical systems are designed for future flexibility.
